How did we get here?

As parents in the 1990s, we agonized over the decision of choosing a school for our daughters.  The schooling model had changed very little since we were kids in the 60s and our parents, even, in the 40s! We chose to Homeschool.

Now, as our daughters look at the world our grandchildren are entering, they also question the need for endless homework, frequent tests, and sitting behind a desk all day. Is this really the best way to prepare them for the 21st century world that they will be entering? It wasn't until we discovered the Acton Academy that we became excited about what lay ahead for our grands!  As there were no Actons close enough for our family, we committed to starting our own!
